Here is the Baron and Snakewood I did about 2 months ago. Photo is not the greatest but at least you can see it. No craks or split and shrinkage.

Careful and don't start bragging to early, I made a Presidental and it took two or three months to start cracking but once it started it had a hairline crack in both barrels. I certainly hope yours doesn't but I do believe that it may be a first.

My understanding is that snakewood will not take the stabilization...too dense I guess. Maybe someone else knows more...

Had sent some blanks to Steve White for stabilization, but he let me know that this wood cannot be stabilized. It does not take any resin, he weighs the wood before and after the process and never saw weight gain
with Snakewood. All my pens I turned from this wood have cracked so far - between two weeks and three month.
