This is a great material to work with, just need to take your time. Blank is alternate Casein from Exotics, Baron FP. I have had a lot of good comments on this pen.

Nice pen, John!!

I have had very little feedback on the Alt Casein and I don't have time to turn, myself, this time of the year. So, can you tell me if you painted the tube? It appears opaque, but is it really?

Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks for trying the alternate casein!!!!

SWEET! That looks like it could belong to Trump while signing a billion dollar deal

Actually forgot to paint the tube on this one, the first one, I painted the tube white. The first is gone, so I can't compare the two. The tube does not show through; but, I will remember to paint the tubes next time.
It is not really opaque, even at the ends where the material is a bit thinner.

I chipped the first one on the end. This one I took down with a skew and then finished with abranet sheets to final diameter. No scratches or chips.
No CA, just novus and polished.

Sounds great!!

Novus and polish or tripoli-white diamond buffing ought to work great. I would not recommend CA on this material as it is closer to acrylic, in properties.

Again, thanks for showing and trying!!
