this was my first attempt at both a long click pen and bamboo. I like the way the long click looks, just wish I had used a better plating. It was an awfully long hole I had to drill a miracle it didn't blow out. The bamboo was very difficult to turn. Very hard with some splintering. Had to sharpen by gouge and skew several times while turning it. Finished with 10 or so coats of thin CA/BLO. The picture doesn't do the bamboo justice. It is a real eye catcher in person.
I got the bamboo from Big Rob. Although it was hard to turn I think it makes a beautiful pen. I bought ten blanks from him, so I'm gonna make 9 more bamboo pens of different styles. I really like it.
