Never turned bamboo, does it chip easy or splinter off while turning?
The pen looks good I like the contrast.

How did you finish it? I tried some bamboo and the surface was a little pitted. Was thinking the next batch will get a CA finish, maybe that will fill the pits and smooth it out.

Nice pen!

I turned bamboo on a diagonal cut the other day for a Comfort kit - used bamboo floor planks 18 mm thick. Can be quite a bastard because of the long fibers splitting. Touched the loose side of the fibers with CA and it held up nicely.
