Thinking I should have done the red diamonds in white instead.

Willee, that is awesome! I think it looks great as it is. I asked this in another thread, but I haven't seen your response. Are you using a pantograph for your inlays or some other method?

I had to ask because every time I tried that method I blew the blanks up while turning. I was hoping you used a different method. Your pen turned out great, I just wish I could get one too, lol.

Did not know there was any other method than this one.
The second photo should show you how this one was made.

Inspired by others ... not my original idea.

I use the Unique Product 4 Axis CNC mill made to inlay pool cues.
Made a small adapter to hold the pen blanks.

They make a less expensive Pantograph also.
