Finally got back in the shop today and couldn't wait to turn perfectly good wood into shavings. This is Curly White Oak with a little experimentation thrown in for good measure. No those black and white bands aren't what you think. The white is a little trick I learned from Travis (Coach) and the black is from a snuff can. [:p] The SL is black chrome and the finial wouldn't press into the black clip so I substituted a standard SL clip instead. I think it gives it an interesting look, but it may not be for everyone. I also took Russ' challenge to just polish the wood out and not put a finish on it. I did use Deft Sanding Sealer though, and then took it out to all nine grades of MM.

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

Billy, is that the ceremonial "I'm back from vacation" credit card cut-up? [:D]

It's a great way to get a nice, true white into the pen. Again, nice job!
