Hey All

Have been away from pen turning for a while. In fact, I have not turned a thing in two years. I was recently approached to turn 40 shredded Canadian money pens. At $150.00 per pen, how could I refuse. I had 4 weeks to do it, and it certainly caused me a lot of stress. But today they were delivered and payed for. I forgot how much i enjoy this:)

Here are an few pictures of the finished products, and a couple others I had to do just because it is fun.

Kevin

Welcome back; I know what it's like to have taken a couple (about 5 in my case (!)) years off. It takes a few turns to knock the rust off ;)

Nice work, and $150 per pen??? Holy moley!

I made some and gave them away* but had I known that they were worth that much I would have kept making them.

Cheers,

Gary

* They were turned for the family of a Bank of Canada employee who passed away. The blanks were cast for free by a member here on IAP when he found out what they were for. I sent him a bag of shredded cash and he sent me back some cigar blanks. What an awesome community.

Very sharp choice of blank for the themed pens. Well thought out and beautifully executed. THATS how it's done!

The kit is a Cigar Hybrid 18c.
It is a very well received pen in my experience. There is also a similar kit available in titanium and gold. Not sure what it is called.

Wow

This transaction keeps getting better. I received several thank you cards from the senior management of the company that ordered these pens, including one from the CEO. Included in the CEO'S envelope was two tickets to a Calgary Flames hockey game. ROW 7 !!!!!!! Ticket value $272.00 Each.

Absolutely awesome. A real nice surprise.
