I tried a new approach (for me) in putting two contrasting woods together. It turned out OK but I learned that I need to true up my ShopSmith drill press to get a straight drill throught the blank. Otherwise, it does not come out symmetrical. This is also one of my first attempts at a CA finish using the Fanger method.

I like the contrast. The lack of symmetry is hard to notice in a picture. I'm sure, like us all, you are far more critical than anyone else will be. Very nice work.
