Atrax in 303 Stainless slightly modified

Been playing on my metal lathe. Here is a Atrax pen kit with 303 Stainless. Was something else to turn down finished with my woodchuck.

Modification. I do not like the transition ring on the finale on the pen body so I turned it down to let the cap seat flush with the blank. I like it better.

I turned it close to size on my metal lathe and use my carbide tip tools for shaping on my wood lathe. It was interesting....

SS seriously challenges a person's sanding and polishing prowess.

That is mighty shiny. Nice. I like the gold nib on it. If the whole thing had the polished steel it would, in my opinion be boring. the gold nib adds contrast and draws the eye. Adds a touch of extra class. JMO though.
