Artist Sketch Pencils

1)This is my first Sketch pencil. l used Red Gum Burl and the finish it in hard shellac its a slow curing finish.
2) my next one l used blue/white Marble Celluloid
comments welcome. the photo of this one looks like its been on steroids.

Nice pens. I like the no so BTB look of the first one. Plus it looks like it might feel better for long periods in the hand.

Hi John,

I like the shapeliness of the red gum, the straight bush to bush does not work for me.


I also have been making these pencils, 10 last week. I find the large diameter of the barrel alows for more definition in a design shape.

Not long ago Anthony also posted some of his shapes..I think with the popularity of this kit gaining some momentum that enhanced designs and hand comfort can make this an interesting kit for sure.
