I aged this wood to give it a "barn wood" look.

I bought the graying agent from Schroder Log Home Supply. www.loghelp.com I used to restore log homes and I found it at their store in Pigeon Forge, Tn. Sorry I do not remember the name of the product, but I am sure that they still carry it.

The cheapest option would be to put it in a glass jar and leave it outside for a few weeks...that would grey it up a bit....would potassium dichromate do anything to maple? i know it patinas cherry and mahogany nicely, but I've never tried it on a lighter wood.
