Here is a Paduak bottom with antler top and a vintner pen.

The Paduak came from A. Arndts in a swap. In fact, he sent it to me with no idea I would send something back. This is generosity that I.A.P. breeds.

Thank you Mr. Arndts.

Two way cool pens. I really like the antler showing a bit of bark. But the vintner pen is a very good idea. How did you get a hole in the cork without destruction?

Sweet Pens, the Padauk would have either became a Classic from PSI or a Flat top from Rockler.... I am pretty sure you, John, did an awesome job... :highfive::good:

You are most welcome John!

High speed in a collet chuck on the lathe. The cork likes to flex because it is not a strong or dense material and causes the biggest issue preventing a straight exterior. The nice thing about cork, however, are the artistic designs that you can find.
