Nice, I love cedar. I never put any finish on them so the smell wonderful. Plus I put all my shaving in and around the flower beds

thanks,, the cedar was given to me by my father in law, in the early 70's..made euro's for my wife's sisters and brother, and the slims for they kids.

Allen, Nice looking pens I used to love making pens out of cedar, and after I mail this one on my desk, I don't ever even want to think about pine for a pen material!! SYP might be a whole different creature, than a Lowes 2x2, I wish my PITH pen looked as good as those slims of yours, I wouldn't be quite as embarrassed to send it out:embarrassed::embarrassed::biggrin:

I don't think, your branch is wide enough for diagonal cutting, at least a full size pen blank for a 2 barrel kit but, that sort of 2 tone wood, is extremely effective when cut that way...!
