It has been a while since I have posted anything here, so I figured it was about time. I made this for my little girls teacher at the end of the last school year.

It is a wooden maple apple and the Pen is bloodwood and satin copper.

I picked out the apple and I let my little one pick the kit and wood. I think she did a pretty good job!

Great idea! How is the stability of the apple as the wonderful pen is pulled out and placed in?

Thanks for all of your comments.

I did not make the apple. I found it at a craft shop for like $4.00.

I thought it may be unstable when posting or taking the pen out but it is not. The apple is maple so it is pretty heavy and base is sits on is about 1 1/2".

I Think I will join Fangar in "borrowing" the Idea. My wife's best freind is a teacher and this would make a great Xmas gift for her.

I have directions somewhere on turning my own fruit (vs the fruit doing the turning!!)

Again.. Great idea and execution.
