A couple of firsts for me here. First pen where I had to turn a pen body and a cap. First time I used a stabilized blank. This one was a lot of fun, but pretty challenging for my limited experience (I think this is pen 20 or 21 for me). The blank is a stabilized maple burl dyed gold and black. I wish I had made a fountain pen instead of a rollerball, but overall I am happy with the result. C and C welcome.

Sharp pen, sharp grain, sharp photo. Only C&C I would have, would be to keep your background for your photo one color and not so busy. Jim S

Thanks for all the C and C. I feel this kit has a lot of "bling" so I wanted to use a blank that would tone it down a little. Again, I wish I had gone with the fountain pen option, but enjoyed making this nonetheless. Thanks for the feedback on the photo. I had just snapped a quick shot with my iPhone and didn't realize I had all the distractions in there. I have a lighting kit coming and then I will have to teach myself how to do good photos.
