Antler & LAburnum Desk Pen

Here is an Antler & Laburnum pen stand with matching pen.
There are 2 different pens, one in which the Antler has gone into the marrow.
I prefered one of the pens and my wife preferred the other, so i was wondering what other people think.
Make sure you choose the same one as me, or i will never hear the last of it. i am not going to tell you my prefered choice yet though[}]

I'll be different, I like the top one best. More intersting antler and more figure in the wood and I think the colors go better together.

I prefer working with the outer part of the deer horn... not really into the marrow parts... so I like the lighter pen..

I like the bottom one for two reasons. First, I tend to like lighter things. But second, the top one, since the antler part has the dark sort of a pattern in it, it kind of looks to me like it clashes with the pattern in the wood on the lower part of the pen. It's like both are kind of a striped pattern, but the wood one has more swirly parts to it's pattern.

I prefer the dark one. It kind of looks like animal hair (short and coarse) in the bottom picture.
