I made a couple of Antler Cartridge pens for a co-worker who supplied the antler. I made this with the leftovers. I used spare parts for all of it. The clip cap was the only part I couldn't find so Dale suggested making one from an antler tip. Good idea. I measured out a right sized part of the tip and cut just past it allowing for a tenon. Wrapped the tip in tape and chucked it in a drill chuck and put it on the lathe. Tenon turned, I swapped ends and CA coated it and polished a bit. Assembly went like it was made for it, which it was!

Thanks, this one was interesting to turn. the middle actually was recessed enough to expose the brass tube so I glued shavings in to fill it in and you can hardly tell it's not all antler there. It's on Etsy now to see if it sells.
