Antique chestnut

My brother in law got me a chunk of this antique chestnut and Louisbry on this forum cut it into blanks for me, ca mm through the grits all comments welcome:

Looks good. Chestnut is hard to find. Read up on one of the worst ecological disasters on why there are no more chestnuts around.

Very good pen on some rare wood. There are still a very few Chestnut trees around that are blight resistant. There is one in Eastern Kentucky that I ws lucky enough to get a sprout from. It is still growing at a place I own. In another 100 years she will be one beautiful tree if luck holds.
