I made my son, who is a corrections officer, a thin blue line pen a couple of months ago. The kit I used was a black chrome Sierra. The finish is coming off already. I'm quite disappointed, I thought the Sierras were higher quality than that. So I made him another, this time a chrome Gatsby from PSI. I'm hoping the chrome holds up better.

I came up with a better method of gluing up the blank. I used a drill press vise to keep the segments in alignment, then a mini bar clamp to hold the ends together. Waxed paper kept it from sticking to anything. I used two-part 5 minute epoxy. Worked pretty good.
