Another Thank you

Jim Stastny was kind enough to send me a large box of pen blanks. Most will go into making pens for the Freedom Pen Program.[8D]
However, this Spalted/ Quilted Maple blank is "Going Home" to Jim. When he asked if I could make him a pen, I couldn't think of a better piece to use for it.

Very pretty Bruce! I like your intended use for the other blanks, too. I was thinking of donating some of the purpleheart pens that I make from the blanks I got from you to one of our local military hospitals (Bethesda/Walter Reed) with the intention that they be given to some recent purple heart medal recipients. If anyone knows the best way to make this donation, would you E-mail me via the forum? I don't want to hijack Bruce's thread, especially after he sent me such great blanks!

You might go to www.Freedompens.org or www.sawmillcreek.com and ask them if you can specify where a pen goes? I'm not sure how to do it otherwise, unless you contact Bethesda directly.
