I bought a half log of this stuff on Fee bay in January of last year. I have read all the bad omens that come with selling a pen made from it but have yet to have one come back with the infamous crack or two. I guess I have been lucky and will count my blessings. Anyway, this was requested by collector friend for a gift. He wanted something dark but with figure and left the material choice to me. He liked it so much he kept it for himself and ordered another for his friend. I dressed it with a blk ti jr statesman. The upper barrel is bored out using my new mini metal lathe not drilled to reduce the heat and keep it from blowing out. Sanded to 12 mm then ca/blo (I love that finish) then polished again to 12k mm and topped it off with ren wax. As usual, all comments, good and bad, are welcome.
