From Left to right......
Holly - a very subtle grain, but still some lovely light ripples.
Brown Oak - from a 900 year old Oak that fell in Windsor Great Park in Dec 2013. Very slow grown and much darker than younger oaks.
Swamp Kauri from New Zealand. The NZ equivalent of Bog Oak. These are virtually prehistoric trees that fell over 35000 years ago and were buried in peat. Possibly the oldest turnable wood available?
Recycled ebony with a platinum plating on the pen.
Rowan (mountain ash - Sorbus) fountain pen.
Lilac fountain pen
Black Walnut fountain pen
