Hi All,


True to my word, I did say I was going to try segmenting pens, and here is one of my latest attempts.


Starting to get better but a long way to go.


The segmented one is made from Elm burl and Beech with spalting, and the other is an all elm burl.

I love these. Often segmented pens highlight the large colour contast and they loose the wood look. These are obviously wood and the contrasts are subtle and beautiful.
I have yet to try segmented, but planning to soon. I had been only thinking of high contrast woods until I saw your work, Thanks!
