another scrimshaw

I turn the pen a month ago....I scrimmed it this morning. first 2 pic's show the whole picture and the 3rd is in a different photo finish, called sepia tone. I wanted it to look a little old.(click on the pic)

so let me know how I did.......

Looks nice, Laurie; but I am not quite getting the scene? The two views are front and back relative to each other; but I'm not "connecting" them in my mind into a full view. Two more pictures with the pen rotated 90° to the existing orientation might help.

Also, I agree with the earlier comment that a larger picture would be helpful. I clicked on the pictures (twice, I think) to get them to their full size and they were still a little small.

I can't decide if this is better than the squid or not. The quality is awesome, the squid though was way out left field and that's a bonus. I envy your talent.
