Hello all,

Had another great day in the garage. It was a beautiful day after it warmed up a bit and I got these turned for family members.

- Used the rest of my razor blank from yesterday for a Broadwell Sceptre painted in pink.
- A bullet click in a molten medal I think (had this half blank for a couple of years).
- Another razor in homebrew green/black alumilite.
- My Eleanor, homebrew antique gold/antique silver alumilite Triton RB. I've tried several times to make this pen. I've had reverse pain chip off, cracked the blank, or seems something always goes wrong. I think I got it right this time, finally!!!

Hope you all enjoy and comments are always welcomed.

Dave

Great turning pieces! Great choice of attractive blanks and kits. They have great fit and finish. Like most the last pen, very attractive.

These are really nice. I especially like the Triton AND the fact that you overcame a few obstacles, maintained patience and created a marvelous pen.:good::good::good:

Would love to see some more pics of the triton...but then again..like to see some more of em all:biggrin:

Here's another pic I had taken that day.

What was the finish? MM'd to 12k and polished or something different? I really like the looks of the triton and would like to know more about the blank....those may be the words of my 3 daughters and my wife...I have to quit looking at pics with them looking over my shoulder..but then again they have awesome taste:biggrin:

When turned down, this blank had a few pen holes, so after sanding with 400x, I did a CA finish (2 coats of thin, 6 medium, 2 more thin), sanded with 320x, 400x, and 600x. I then buffed with Tripoli and then white diamond. That's the finish. The blank itself is alumilite clear with Aztec gold and antique silver pearlex powder poured into a ptownsubbie vertical mold and put under 50 psi in my pressure pot. I hope that answers your questions and thanks for all of kind words.
