Another Brooks "oops" blank

This gem was hidden in the big box of stuff Brooks803 was letting go at the meeting Saturday. I WAS gonna cut it up for some specTACular centerbands, but after looking at it for a minute it felt just wrong to do that. Dad's auto-centering on his drill press got finally dialed in, and we managed to get the good part of the blank cut out, and it was JUST barely bigger than the bushings on either end of both halves. I wanted the patterns lined up better, but the first attempt to drill out exploded in the press, leaving me to grab the spare chunk. But, I REALLY REALLY like this stuff and can't imagine what the blanks Brooks wanted to sell looked like on the inside!
