First let me say that this doesn't look as awkward in hand as it shows in the photo... don't know why. I had 7.62 x 39 casing and thought I'd try a modification of the longwood using antler with it. Fittings are copper from Woodturningz.

EDIT: Oops, sorry! I forgot to mention that this is made from the end of the palm (Fallow deer). Fallow has more pith than any antler I've turned to date... hence the peachish tan color.
