Blue... I like Blue! Very cool.

(How about color matching top finials?)

Not for these ones  They're being boxed as they are and marketed as such (can't wait to show off the boxes!). higher priced models will have custom finials and centrebands.

Mark, I was thing the same thing.....matching finials pop!
Have either of you anodized pen parts? Therein lies your answers you seek.:biggrin:

I really like that shade of blue. Postable rollerball would be cool.
All that chrome makes the pen really pop to my eyes.

Your work is wonderful Brad.

If I may ask.....What makes the coloring in an Anodised pen? I have seen red and blue and I am sure there are other colors. What is the secret?

When anodising, we grow a layer of crystals over the surface of the aluminium.
We can then soak dyes into them similar to clothes dyes. depending on how long they are left to soak in the dye the darker the shade will become.

Once you have the shade you want, the piece is then boiled in water for 25 minutes. this causes the crystals to shrink and contract, closing up just like the pores on your skin, trapping the dye within the crystal layer. hey presto, a coloured anodised layer.
