Ancient Mars Redux

The pen from the second Ancient Mars blank. Hid the clip ring this time. Had to make it thicker to do that, so the silver tubes didn't brighten it a whole lot.

How true. You can remove part of the outside of the ring to help slim the cap. I just grind it down a bit with a rotary tool. pen looks striking of course.

Thought of that. It seemed like too much trouble for too little gain. The pen is the diameter of an Imperial all the way down. I'm cool with that. Next time maybe.

BTW, faux ivory is an excellent dowel material for internal parts. Strong, cleaves cleanly.
