This one was a commission. I had an abortive attempt the previous weekend due to a big chunk of wood that blew out of the body while turning. This one had no problems and came out very nice. I applied a few coats of WTF and then sanded it down and finished with the Micro Mesh regime.

I like the raw look of this one, and it feels great in the hand.

Just received a commission for two of these. Hope mine turns out as well as yours.

Thanks John. If you are doing them in wood, no problem, but if you are turning a resin consider backpainting the blank and choose your color carefully. The bottom tube is small so the material is very thick, while the top tube is large and the material there is very, very thin.

Cheers,
