This is made from a blank that was in a package of gorgeous Desert Ironwood I recently received from Bill Baumbeck. He has got some beautiful stuff! I wish the chatoyance would show up better in photos. Anybody that has turned Desert Ironwood knows what I mean. The finish is CA.

I appreciate everyone's comments.
This was one of the better kits before the Havana, Gentleman, Statesman and Baron kits came out. Metal to metal threads are pretty coarse. When they started making metal to plastic threads, there's just no comparison. Still, I like this kit. I have sold quite a few of them.

Great looking pen. I had mentioned in another thread that I had a couple of blanks that were labled ironwood. I turned one of them yesterday and it didn't look anything like yours. I have no idea what it is.
