Amboyna Cigar Pen

Amboyna Burl with a polyurethane finish. The finish worked out better than I thought it would.

I brushed it. Ace hardware had the poly I liked the best. Not to thin. I like the cigar style, it has a nice weight to it.

Foam or bristle?
What was the drying time?
Did you dry it on or off of the lathe?
How even is the coating? Any tendancy to sag before drying?

Thanks for all the nice words. I sanded the pen to 12000 grit micro mesh and used the softest natural hair I could find. The finish did not sag and I dried it in the house on a jig I made. I turned it once in a while just to make sure it dried evenly and let it dry overnight before I touched it then assembled the pen after it was fully dry. It has a single coat.
