No longer confused....
I am mixed on this one. it does look good but in one way it does not seem to match that well. I still like it and going to be my every day pen :)

Good job on it.

I did a two tone amboyna a while back, put it with a black ti kit. I just didn't like it so I took it apart and put with gold Ti and was much happier. I realized it was the sapwood didn't go.

Put the front section of a gold titanium sierra on that pen and see which you like better. Then you can switch back to platinum or remove the clip/finial in favor of gold.

I like the pen Ed. I really like how it turned out.
I think it shows up better on the lighter colored background.
Good job!:)

Wow... I just saw an interesting screen! I posted a reply which seemed to take a bit to load then a screen pops up saying "We have flood control engaged, please wait 30 seconds to post again"

So this was a duplicate post.

I think the hardware helps highlight the color of the blank, like the right frame and mat can complement a color photograph. And that is one beautiful, beautiful blank.

I agree with going for the gold, the warmth would suit that blank. Use the current hardware for a nice buckeye burl blank!
