Amboyna Burl on a Magnetic Graduate

Haven't had much time for pens lately, but I did sneak out the other night and make this one. I really like the magnetic graduate hardware. I am not sure the clip is tight enough, but this may turn into my pen instead of a for sale pen. I had to add a blackwood band at the top because the amboyna shattered when I got it close.

I too like the graduate. I like it as much as the Zen and have made a Graduate fountain pen my daily writer, not that I write very much but I really like it. There is a screw inside the cap that can be loosened and tightened for clip tension.

Very nice pen.

I've done several magnetic Graduates and like the appearance okay, but the cap fits too loosely for my tastes. I wish they would take up a bit of the slop or add a plastic sleeve in the cap or something.

I had that on one of mine. I gently tapped the magnet into the cap SLIGHTLY.
