Amboyna burl Jr. Gent - mandrel-less

This is my first mandrel-less pen! I think turning between centers is the way to go.


This is an Amboyna burl 50/50 from AZ with a Jr. Gent Rhodium kit. The finish is a BLO/CA.

Looks great. I can do the mandrel-less turning thing as long as I use johnnycnc's bushings. Without bushings, there just isn't enough room to work the blank.

Great looking pen! Congratulations! Mandrel-less is a freeing experience. Kind of like letting go of the suspenders and belt! :biggrin:
