That's a nice looking pen. Great figure in the burl and your finish treats it right. The upper and lower barrels appear to be different colors. Is that right or an artifact of your photo? Interested photo composition, by the way.

the blank i used was Amboyna burl with sapwood, when i cut it just so happened that the Amboyna was mainly on the upper portion and the sapwood was mainly on the lower portion
