Amazing Talent in The Great State of Michigan

We have some excellent resources in Michigan, and I have the privelege of being able to visit both shops of Gary (captG) and Jeff Powell.
The carbon fiber is fantastic on its own but Gary loads these blanks with watch parts and gears. I am amazed at all he gets in there.
Jeff also blows me away with the intricate details he cuts with his scroll saw. It's always a treat to stop by the shop of any of our members here. Enjoy the bounty. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

I have never met Gary but I was lucky enough to be able to attend an IAP meeting at Jeff's shop a couple of years ago and was really amazed at the work he was doing then. From what I see on here his work just keeps getting better. I am still using a lot of tips that I learned from him at that meeting.

WOW! All those pens are great works. You should be very proud, all 3 of you actually. I personally have never bought a CaptG blank, but I am going to have to sooner or later. Eric job well done, I like each and every one of those pens. Good bounty for sure!

Eric told me he made some pens that would blow me away, I have to say he did. This is the first time I've seen them. WOW I have been to Jeff Powell's shop and Gary's and they are the best. I hope to see these in person this weekend at the Holland Tulip Festival. We will have a booth. Maybe some of you that live closer can stop in. Keep it up all three of you. RichB
