My second (successful?) attempt at an aluminum bolt pen - a parker style refill ballpoint this time.

I swear that those scratches are on the camera lens. I still can't see them on the pen. More polishing is clearly in order before this can go in a Christmas stocking.

Criticisms and comments are all appreciated. (There's optimism for you.)

Looks great Grant. :good::good::good: I like that style of doing them as all the parts look in proportion to each other.
Instead of fighting with the shiny finish on the aluminium, why not consider a matt finish? That may make it look even more realistic.
IIRC, you are still making these on a wood lathe? Well done!

Steven: I'll take your idea of a matt finish. :) You recall correctly, this was done on my trusty Jet mini VS. I really do need to find a better die holder, though. I made one out of wood and it cracked on me.
