I love the shape and it looks like is posts well. Material polished up nicely. The only thing that I see and this is strictly a personal taste thing is the cap seems a little short in the photos. Your threads have a great shine too.

Thanks Mike. Yeah, the cap is quite short. I was trying to get a continuous taper from the finial down to the bottom of the barrel. When I drew it with a longer cap, the joint seemed to interrupt the tapered shape too far down and made the short, round finial look ridiculous. I guess I just liked it best with the high joint--the finial worked better for me.

Great pen............
Does the feed / housing actually screw into the section part of the pen or does it just push in...........

Dave

Thanks Dave. Yes the nib/feed assembly screws into the section.

Beautiful Robert just beautiful,
It does have a different look, and it is nice to see that kind of creative thinking,Doing the same pen over a hundred times with different blank just makes a better copy, this has a
different and elegant look, I'm watching and I'm learning from the guys like you.
you don't have to say much, the work screams "check ME out pal" Love it!!!!!!

Beautiful pen Robert. Love the blank. I probably would have preferred an even/flat joint between cap and body to get the gradual, continuous taper look. But overall, an excellent looking pen. I commend you for trying slightly different looks on these custom. Where did you get the blank?

Mark, the blank was supplied by my friends Ed and Dawn at Exotic Blanks.

And thanks again to all who were kind enough to say such nice things about this effort.

Excellent color and shape. In one of the pics you can see the radial sanding marks. Try "lateral" sanding with the last 2 MM stages, it works very well.
