Just found these pics that I'd just stored away on my PC! Had to show them, as difficult as Almond Burr is to work with, sometimes they turn out not too bad!

Very nice looking pen and photos. :confused: Unless you are discribing a (n) in Scottish speech (burr), I think you mean burl, A domed-shaped growth on the trunk of a tree. Jim S

Mainly in the USA is it called a burl, at lot of other Non-US English speaking countries inducing the UK they are burrs!

Burr/burl....don't matter to me, cause that is one sexy looking piece of timber! What kind of finish did you use here? Just wondering also, is almond wood 'oily'?
