I would not be stuck behind my lathe building these pens and letter openers for a "client" if i would have never met you guys. Now I have these things like client, customer, cash flow, profit, overhead, etc.I may need to see a specialist about this.

So therfore I blame each and every one of you ,oh and the new woodcraft in woodridge Illinois for the trouble I am in.
People are actually paying me for these items, calling me on the phone, asking me if i have a web sight, etc. I mean how rude. The nerve of some.

Thanks guys for all the help, Merry CHRISTmas and GOD bless.

Great job Dave. My "HOBBY" is beginning to turn into a business also. Don't know if I like that or not. Unless I get REAL busy I don't foresee it not being fun any more so I guess it's alright. We'll see!

Nice bunch of pens and openers. My "hobby" from last year turned into selling 245 pens, stoppers, openers, keychains, etc., so far this year. I think I blame everyone here, too. If I hadn't learned so much I wouldn't have become good enough for people to want to buy my stuff.[;)]

And I forgot to mention this guy Firefyter-emt who just happen to have a part that I needed because I broke it.And he did'nt charge me anything, I should have suspected something fishy right there.Get me hooked and raise the prices. If I could just trace the money it would probably go back to woodcraft and that first free catolog I got in the mail, except for the money I sent Lee (Firefyter-emt). There was no money trail there. Very clever lee.

Seriously though, thanks Lee I would be in a world of hurt had you not helped me out.I would be reading the link on how to turn pens on a drill press.

Those look great! I love the way the blank looks with that silver. I have used silver with red, blue and green plastics and in my opinion it goes so well with acrylics or resin blanks.

I knew it. Some one in the group, blaming every one but themselves for THEIR addictions. Good grief. And we all are enablers, so what do we have to say for ourselves[:p]
Nice work, by the way[:D]

It keeps my better half quite when I show here that the "Out Of Control Hobby" has not only paid for itself but made a profit. She is getting involved in the bookkeeping and computer log of inventory of the pens. We've been to three craft shows and made quite a profit at the last one(more than 20 times the gate)It surprised me!

hey "kent4Him" thanks for making me laugh first thing in the morning.
I was just looking at your favorite quote and it brought me back to a job my crew leader and i had a few months ago.It was about 9 o'clock at night the phone rings and is it work and they need a crew to come down and fix a high voltage cable (12 thousand volts) that a road building crew tore out of the ground when they thoght it was in there way.
So anyway we get to the job and it is gonna be a long night for the two of us. It is in a dirt field and we start working and you guessed it it starts raining which turns us and the field into one big mud ball.So being the samrt a-- i keep looking at him and say "well at least it's not raining".[;)]
It quit raining when we got done and got in the truck to go back home.
Where would we be without a sense of humor?
Oh and by the way has anyone seen my veneer calipers?
And dont tell me you have a pair you;re not using and I can have them for free, just so I can get back to turning.[:)]

These guys are awful, I feel your pain, so just send me all the stuff, and I will try and make it stop. Seriouslythough the work looks great, and this forum has some of the most helpful folks I've ever met on line, watch out or the next thing you know you may be stinking up your shop with resin, (or using your wifes kitchen) which is not recomended for your own saftey.
