Ok, it's just the sapwood from the black walnut. But I thought it was pretty neat. These were two of eight that went to Gary to sends to the troops. Thanks for looking and comments greatly appreciated.

Those are pretty neat. That top one looks like there is an image of a person on it....

Who knew that walnut sapwood had such a contrast!!! :confused:

They are a pair of beautiful pens, Bruce. Thanks for showing the "new" Walnut. Is it a "special" Walnut only found is South Carolina?:rolleyes::cool: Our Walnut grown in West Kentucky is called Black Walnut for a reason.:biggrin:

Just kidding, they are two very special pens for two very special people. Thanks for your effort. They will be appreciated.
