The wife was at a funeral last week and while there she showed the funeral director my pens, this is the first of 3 that he ordered. Afzelia burl, poly and CA finish. The lettering is done with water slide decal. I'm not as happy with the decal as I thought I would be. The background dries white and you have to put a layer of oil based poly on it to have it turn clear. Which means put the poly on it let it harden for a couple days then do my CA finish over top. I've finally got my CA finish down where I am happy with it and get consistent results I really don't want to start over again with another finish that I will only use occasionally.
This is the lazertran inkjet waterslide decal paper. I don't know if the testors is any different or not. Can't find it around here anyway. I can order it but have to get a $50 box so if it's the same it's not worth it.
