Top and side view of African Blackwood with sapwood chrome cigar. Wood came from Bigrob and finish is CA.

Very nice pen!

I have about 10+ of those blanks in my stock pile. I love the way they look. The hard part is when I pick up my black wood it seems to like to crack close to the sapwood and is trickey to get perfect blanks that don't have a crack that needs CA of is nice and square. I can deal with some taper at the sapwood and easily get away with it.

BTW, just my opinon here, but you might want to try less taper on the top cap. With the "loop" in the clip, they seem to look better if the taper come in closer to the final. [;)]

Thanks Jason, for the mention. Let me know if you need more. I have some left. You sure did it justice. You've got to tell me your finishing technique sometime.
Merry Christmas,
Rob
