Hey guys,

So I had problems with finishing my last two pens, two awesome cocobolo pieces, I had saved those blanks for a long time... one with raindrop patterns and the other was burly. After making a thread and exchanging with a very nice person from Satelite City Instant Glues (makers of hot stuff glue and NCF accelerator).

I am back on the saddle! :p

David from Satellite City Glues provided a very clear and detailed email regarding the cause of cloudy finishes, very instructive, so those two pens are dedicated to him. :)

Unfortunately, the two others went to thrash, I was getting a constant cloudy finish, you never know when wood is going to kick your arse. :p

After reading everyone's suggestions I had to test if I could still finish a pen. I started with something easier, a cocobolo single pen.

And when I saw 30 minutes later that I was done finishing and assembling the pen, I went for something more difficult, african blackwood. ;) Notice the little burly part by the tip of the pen.

Thanks for looking and comments welcomed,

Charles
