Hey guys,

It's been a few months! So I had an order for a Gent. Jr. with really dark wood. In my experience african blackwood is the most difficult to finish.

I would think that the really dark color will show any small defects, also, being a rosewood the wood is quite oily. The density of this wood also require finer sanding prior finishing, scratches shows easily!

I really enjoy taking a piece that has half sapwood and heartwood to make a really striking color contrast! ;) Have a look at the sapwood on the cap, there is two unusual eyes there.

Anyhow, less talking more pictures and as always, clicky the thumnails!

Thanks for stopping by,

Charles
