I'm a little late in getting these posted but here are some Cigar pens I made over the weekend. I know its like turning over to the dark side but I really like these acrylics. Tell me what you think (good and bad). If I could just get my CA finish going, I would probably like wood better!

All of these acrylics are from Wood Pen Pro.

Impressive. You did a really great job. Great finish no scratches. That is the hardest part of acrylics is to great scratch free finish.

Good job

Pierre-Michel,

I sand with 220 grit, 400 grit and then polish with micro mesh pads starting with 1500 to 12000. I inspect after 2400 to see if there are any sanding lines. If so, I go back to 1500 and start again.

Great looking pens!!! I can't figure out why they have those out of place little holes through out the blanks of pens #1 and #3. They don't seem to blend in with the rest of the design. I have had customers make comments about them and not buy the pens because of them. As for turning acrylics, there is no dark side. Some prefer wood, others acrylics. I like both but what began as an allergy to just Kingwood has turned into a full blown allergy to wood dust of about any kind. Seems acrylics are becoming a major part of my turning future.
