Default ACACIA omalophylla AKA YARRAN

Grows in Victoria (endangered) South Australia,NSW,Queensland and the Western half of Western Australia. Darkish and hard on tools. This blank is Fiddleback and Ringed hard to see with the characteristic sheen found in Tassie Blackwood and Hawaii Kona blanks.

The Indigenous people use it for Spears and call it the Spear tree.

Very Nice! I love Acacia wood. I scored some scraps after my sister in law put a hardwood floor in. Some of the most expensive wood on the market but full of character.
