Got about 20 blanks from 3 pieces of crotch wood but only a couple this nice. Not positive what it is but beginning to lean towards ash. Had to use a scraper to get it to size, the grain is so wild and the wood so hard anything else just pulled out small chunks. Platinum euro finished with BLO/CA. Then polished with liquid car polish and a coat of Ren. wax. Have a couple half sized blanks with a curve in them and if I drill real carfully I might get a slim out of them.
