Hi everyone, here is the finished pen from my tutorial.

I do not know what wood the cap and body are.I thought it was Bocote, but compared to the bocote section I have doubts.Any help would be apprediated.

The finish is the first time using laquer.First was a coat of seal coat then 2 coats of gloss aerosol laquer. Then I rubbed it out with steel sool and wax. After thet I used scratchout scratch remover to shine it back up.

Thanks fellas.

Yes it is a friction fit.The section fits snugly.Don't want it to tight or the barrel will split. The cap is friction also but not as snug so it doesn't pull out the section.
